Hidden City is a music production, supervision, and management company established in 2014 by multi-instrumentalist / producer / song-writer Trish Klein. She is weel known for her work with the iconic Canadian folk band The Be Good Tanyas, (a project she co-founded in 1999). She also co-founded alt-folk group Po’ Girl (with Allison Russell) which released 3 albums between 2002-08. Her writing and production credits span 20+ years and 11 internationally acclaimed releases and her musical works has been included in a wide variety of film and TV. Her musical journey has been heavily influenced by the exploration of early 20th century musical traditions, in particular, country-blues, gospel, Appalachian banjo and early Jazz; styles which are now often now referred to as ‘Americana’. She has worked in close collaboration with some of the finest voices in folk-roots / Americana music today including with Polaris Prize Nominated artist Frazey Ford, Grammy award-winning singer Allison Russell, Jolie Holland, Ora Cogan and she currently co-fronts Country-Blues duo The Blue And Gold with the award-winning singer Ndidi O. Since its founding, Hidden City has produced over 75 live music events in Vancouver (featuring over 130 different live acts) and has managed, produced, and released the music of a variety of artists.
Trish Klein also works as an talent agent for Core Music Agency, representing a roster award-winning composers who create original music for films, television and games.
